Artist Studio and Garden Tour
The Artist Studio and Garden Tour, held June 11, 2011, was a success! Thank you to all of our contributors, volunteers, and "tour"ists! Your support of the Prairie Art Alliance is greatly appreciated and makes a difference for our organization and for our community. We look forward to seeing you all at our next event!

The Artist Studio and Garden Tour was a first look inside five working artists' studios and their own secret gardens, filled with plein air painters and artisans demonstrating their talents for the public. You could view a woodworking shop, a plant doctor's garden, a ceramics and firing studio, a painting and pastel studio, and many hidden treasures!
The day finished with a celebration at the Prairie Art Alliance H. D Smith Gallery. Patrons enjoyed drinks and hors d'oeuvres, door prizes of original artwork, a silent auction, and demonstrations of bonsai. They admired floral interpretations created by members of the Springfield Garden Club, and viewed original pieces created by 130 local area artisans in glass, wood, jewelry, textiles, photography, and paintings in all media.
