Funding
Prairie Art Alliance is funded in part by grants from the Illinois Arts Council
(a state agency), Springfield Area Arts Council, and the Sangamon County Community Foundation.
Types of Membership:
All members have the opportunity to volunteer in a variety of programs and activities, including: installing exhibits, teaching classes, assisting with receptions, and raising funds.

One type of membership in the Prairie Art Alliance is as a full Juried Artist Member. This membership is limited to artists residing fulltime in central Illinois. Juried Artist Members may exhibit, rent and sell work in exhibits and the Business Art Service, with PAA retaining only a 35% commission on each piece sold. They may participate as featured artists in exhibits and special events, develop professionally through networking and participation in programs, and if desired, may enjoy the opportunity to become art instructors at the Prairie Art Alliance School of Art. Juried members also receive a 10% discount on classes and Gallery purchases.

2013 Jury Dates
- Jury Applications can now be submitted at anytime! Applications will be reviewed on a monthly basis, and if selected you will be contacted about your jury date.
Applications and materials can be mailed or dropped off at either gallery location. The package must be postmarked no later than the deadline date. If application and materials are dropped off or mailed later than the deadline, they will be included in the next jury.
- ASSOCIATE MEMBERS
Associate Members receive discounts on gallery purchases, discounts on classes, the Prairie Art Alliance newsletter and invitations to receptions and special events.
Associate Member dues and benefits vary depending upon the level of support.
